The Hagersville Hawks tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Port Dover Sailors held on for a 5-4 victory. Port Dover made the score 5-2 on a goal by Colin Montour at 14:13 in the second period, and Hagersville got as close as 5-4 when Dan Mederios scored 2:36 into the third period. The Sailors was paced on offense by Michael Almas and Michael Boateng, who combined for five points. Almas registered two goals and Boateng also added one goal and two assists. Port Dover additionally got points from Boateng, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Eric Mueller also scored for Port Dover. Other players who recorded assists for Port Dover were Braden Roberts, who had one and Josh Turberfield, who had two. The Hawks forced Port Dover goalie Mike Caluori to work between the pipes, taking 67 shots. Hagersville also got points from Jacob Bianchi, who also had one goal and one assist and Matt Rimac, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Hagersville came via Derek Friesen, who had one and Cole Martin, who had two. Mike Caluori made 63 saves for the Sailors on 67 shots. Port Dover incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Horia Lucaciu made 16 saves before being replaced by Curtis Dortenzio, who took the loss and made seven saves. Hagersville incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
