The Glanbrook Rangers' Chris Haigh had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-0 win over the Simcoe Storm. Haigh scored at 12:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Glanbrook and again while 8:33 into the second to make the score 4-0 Glanbrook.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 16:31 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Glanbrook put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Simcoe to score on any of its four power plays. The Rangers forced the Storm goalie Note Pursky to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots. Glanbrook found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Rangers average 4.3 goals per game. Glanbrook's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Glanbrook also got points from Curtis Edwards, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Glanbrook included Garnet Batrynchuk, who had two and Josh Pace and Cameron Frail, who scored one goal each. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Noah Matteson, who had three and Kyle Dumais, Nathan Fiorino, Spencer Leenders, and Cole Anderson, who each chipped in one. Simcoe excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Storm's offense operated below their season average. Simcoe averages 3.0 goals per game. The Rangers' Jay Payton stopped 22 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Glanbrook ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. For the Rangers, Chad Carey was ejected from the game. Pursky rejected 45 shots on goal for the Storm. Simcoe ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. The Storm ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Riley Wilson was ejected from the game.
