Davies stymies Simcoe, Dundas wins 4-1Talbot Gardens Sun, Dec 28, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Dan Davies stood on his head and made 28 saves to lead the Dundas Blues to a 4-1 victory over the Simcoe Storm. Dundas was led by Liam Hurley, who tallied one goal and one assist. Hurley scored 9:06 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dundas. Alex Aquin picked up the assist. The Blues managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. Dundas ended up below its season average of 25.0 penalty minutes per game. The Blues kept Simcoe's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kyle Poole made 39 saves on 43 shots. Dundas also got points from Zac Mihalis, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dundas also had goals scored by Ray Thompson and Kevin Jaczenko, who each put in one. In addition, Dundas received assists from Justin Homer, Nick McMullen, Matt Johnson, and Connor King, who each chipped in one. Dundas registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. The Storm incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
