The Hagersville Hawks, who led by four goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Dundas Blues and clinched a 6-4 victory. Hagersville led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Hawks' Dan Mederios scored at 48 seconds in the second period to put Hagersville up 4-0. Mitch Green was all over the ice for the Hawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Green scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hagersville. A pre-game violation penalty on Justin Homer had put Hagersville on the power play. Mederios provided the assist. Green's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 Hagersville with 16:38 left in the third period. Brett Dykstra picked up the assist. The Hawks kept Dundas' goalie busy throughout the game, and Dan Davies made 28 saves on 34 shots. Hagersville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Hawks average 3.7 goals per game. Hagersville also got points from Jonathan Pace, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Derek Friesen, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Mederios, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Lukas Rimac and John Monture, who contributed one each and Cole Martin and Matt Rimac, who each chipped in two. Team's Clayton Millard and Dan Pugliese were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. The Blues totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Dundas ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Zac Mihalis was ejected from the game.
