Glanbrook downs Dundas, 5-2

The Glanbrook Rangers beat the Dundas Blues, 5-2.

Glanbrook kept Dundas' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brock Novak made 33 saves on 38 shots.

The Rangers were helped by Josh Pace, who registered one goal and one assist. Pace scored on the power play 1:10 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Glanbrook. Glanbrook also had goals scored by Brad Parish, who had two and Jeff May and Cole Anderson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Aaron Smith, Kyle Dumais, Anthony Whitwell, and Noah Matteson, who each chipped in one.

The Blues' offense operated below their season average. Dundas puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. Glanbrook was unable to stop the Blues from sending pucks towards the net, and Dundas eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

The Blues were helped by Zac Mihalis, who finished with one goal. Mihalis scored on the power play 16:27 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Glanbrook. Dundas had gained a power play chance when Chad Carey was whistled for hooking. Kevin Jaczenko picked up the assist. Greg Harley also scored for Dundas. In addition, Dundas received assists from Ben Sim, Ray Thompson, and Dan Pelosini, who contributed one each.

Matthew Venturelli rejected 35 shots on goal for the Rangers. Glanbrook incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Rangers, Garnet Batrynchuk was ejected from the game. The Blues incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
