Port Dover downs Hagersville, 7-4

Josh Turberfield registered two points to lead the Port Dover Sailors to a 7-4 victory over the Hagersville Hawks.

Hagersville was unable to stop Port Dover from sending pucks towards the net, and the Sailors eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Port Dover bested its season scoring average. This season, the Sailors average 3.8 goals per contest. Port Dover's power play was punchless, and failed to score a single goal despite having 11 power play opportunities.

Port Dover also got points from Michael Almas, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Michael Boateng, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Colin Streutker, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Port Dover also got a goal from Eric Mueller as well. In addition, Port Dover received assists from Colin Montour, who had one, Brandon Dunnett, who had two, and Braden Roberts, who had three.

The Hawks stifled the Sailors' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Hagersville was helped by Dan Mederios, who registered one goal. Mederios scored 6:23 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cole Martin provided the assist. Hagersville additionally got points from Brayden Hill, who also had one goal and one assist. Hagersville also had goals scored by Jacob Bianchi and Dan Pugliese, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Hagersville were Dylan Spurr, who had one and Kyle Phibbs and Mitch Green, who contributed two each.

Mike Caluori recorded 21 saves for Port Dover. The Sailors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Hawks' Tyler Clause stopped 24 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Hagersville incurred 52 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
