Liam McCrory was all over the ice for the Grimsby Peach Kings, as he tallied two goals in Grimsby's 5-2 win over the Port Dover Sailors.

McCrory's tallies came at 19:59 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Grimsby and 8:31 into the second to make the score 5-1 Grimsby.

The Peach Kings forced Port Dover goalie Mike Caluori to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Grimsby also got points from Christian Gaetano, who also registered one goal and one assist and Michael Konkle, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Eric Cerino also scored for Grimsby. Other players who recorded assists for Grimsby were Jeromy Hopkins, who had two and Joshua Kozielski, Nicholas Purves, Curtis Jacques, Brennan Smith, and Malcolm Lynett, who contributed one each.

The Sailors put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Grimsby to score on any of its seven power plays.

Port Dover was helped by Eric Mueller, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Mueller scored on the power play 14:47 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Grimsby. The Sailors had gotten the advantage when the Peach Kings' Purves was sent off for boarding. Port Dover additionally got points from Brandon Dunnett, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Grimsby's Fraser Kirk stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Peach Kings ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. For Grimsby, Aidan McCreadie and Matthew Jambrosich were ejected from the contest. Mike Caluori made 36 saves for Port Dover on 41 shots. The Sailors incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
