The Niagara Riverhawks, which found themselves down a man often, weathered the Port Dover Sailors' power play opportunities and emerged with a 7-3 victory.

Niagara was paced by Franklin Franck, who grabbed one goal. Franck scored 14:41 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Niagara. Peter Falivena picked up the assist.

In the losing effort, Port Dover was led by Eric Mueller, who registered two goals and one assist. Mueller scored the first of his two goals at 16:52 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Niagara. Mueller's next tally made the score 5-3 Niagara with 15:46 left in the third period. Brandon Dunnett provided the assist.

The Riverhawks' offense rang up 35 shots on the Sailors' net. Niagara surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Riverhawks average 3.9 goals per contest.

Niagara additionally got points from Kyle Robertson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Dylan Lazarus, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Alex Cipriano, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Falivena, who also registered one goal and one assist. Niagara also got a goal from Dawson Ethier as well. More assists for Niagara came via Lucas Marcon, Dante Zawadzki, Bobby LaPlante, and Luke Brackett, who contributed one each and Zack Mulvale and Jakob Reeves, who each chipped in two.

Port Dover kept Niagara's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sebastian Iannoe made 36 saves on 39 shots.

Josh Miedema also scored for Port Dover. Other players who recorded assists for Port Dover were Travis Walker and Braden Roberts, who contributed one each.

The Riverhawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Horia Lucaciu recorded 28 saves for the Sailors. Port Dover incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
