Matteson leads Glanbrook over Niagara, 6-2

The Glanbrook Rangers' Noah Matteson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-2 win over the Niagara Riverhawks.

Matteson scored 1:23 into the third period to make the score 3-0 Glanbrook. Chris Haigh picked up the assist. Matteson dished an assist on Drew Jedrzejewicz's goal that made the score 1-0 Glanbrook at 1:23 into the second period. He added another helper on Jacob Kelly's goal that made the score 4-1 Glanbrook at 8:28 into the third period.

Glanbrook stifled Niagara's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Glanbrook additionally got points from Kelly, who also had one goal and one assist. Glanbrook also had goals scored by Curtis Edwards and Cole Anderson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Josh Pace, who had two and Joel Tivanian and Jeff May, who each chipped in one.

The Riverhawks were led by Dylan Lazarus, who registered one goal. Lazarus scored 2:06 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Glanbrook. Alex Cipriano provided the assist. Dante Zawadzki also scored for Niagara. In addition, Niagara received assists from Shawn Epp and Luke Brackett, who contributed one each.

The Rangers' Matthew Venturelli stopped 18 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Glanbrook incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Rangers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Owen Norton was ejected from the game. Sebastian Iannoe made 22 saves for Niagara on 27 shots. The Riverhawks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
