St. Louis Selects 18U completes comeback, beats Minnesota Revolution 18U, 4-3

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, St. Louis Selects 18U battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over Minnesota Revolution 18U.

St. Louis Selects 18U let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. St. Louis Selects 18U took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Jordan Bratton at 10:10 in the first period. St. Louis Selects 18U went down 3-1 after Minnesota Revolution 18U's Tyler Thompson put the puck home at 3:46 in the third period. After tying things up at 3-3 on a goal by Jiri Trubacik at 8:20 in the third, St. Louis Selects 18U got the game-winner from John Moeller at 16:13 in the third period.

St. Louis Selects 18U got the win thanks to a great game by Brycon Johnson, who had one goal and two assists. Johnson scored 7:50 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Minnesota Revolution 18U. Moeller provided the assist.

St. Louis Selects 18U forced Minnesota Revolution 18U goalie Dakota Cyhaniuk to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. St. Louis Selects 18U had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances.

St. Louis Selects 18U also got points from Moeller, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, St. Louis Selects 18U received assists from Joey Rosa, Austin Junger, and David Kelley, who each chipped in one.

Minnesota Revolution 18U's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Minnesota Revolution 18U finished with 28 penalty minutes.

Minnesota Revolution 18U was led by Victor Morgan, who tallied two goals. Morgan scored the first of his two goals at 15:14 into the first period to make the score 1-1.
