Reeves, Franck lead Niagara over Port Dover, 7-3

Behind one goal and two assists from Jakob Reeves and two goals and one assist from Franklin Franck, the Niagara Riverhawks downed the Port Dover Sailors 7-3.

Reeves scored 18:42 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Niagara. Franck assisted on the tally. Franck scored the first of his two goals at 2:09 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Niagara. Reeves provided the assist. Franck's next tally made the score 7-3 Niagara with 1:58 left in the third period. Niagara had gained a power play chance when Colin Streutker was whistled for charging. Reeves assisted on the tally.

The Riverhawks pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 54 penalty minutes.

Niagara's offense rang up 36 shots on Port Dover's net. The Riverhawks found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Niagara averages 3.8 goals per game. The Riverhawks capitalized on the Sailors' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage.

Niagara also got points from Franck, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Brandon McLean, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Niagara also got a goal from Alex Cipriano as well. In addition, Niagara received assists from Zack Mulvale, who had two, Lucas Marcon, who had four, and Joseph Costello, Benjamin Morrish, Dylan Lazarus, and Peter Falivena, who contributed one each.

Port Dover additionally got points from Braden Roberts, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Port Dover came via Brandon Dunnett, Nick Chiarot, Nick DeLuca, Jacob Dafoe, and Josh Turberfield, who each chipped in one.

Kyle Poole recorded 18 saves for Niagara. Team's Bobby LaPlante and Falivena were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Port Dover's Mike Caluori stopped 29 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Sailors totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-10 on the power play. Port Dover ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Streutker was ejected from the game.
