Rosettani leads Dunnville to shutout victory over Dundas

The Dunnville Jr. Mudcats used a sparkling performance by Josh Rosettani to take down the Dundas Blues, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Dunnville's 3-0 shutout victory.

Dundas' power play was ineffective against the Jr. Mudcats' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Dunnville was sparked by Jeff May, who registered one goal. May scored on the power play 3:04 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Dunnville. The Jr. Mudcats earned a power play opportunity when Greg Harley was put in the box for hooking. Dan Arrowsmith assisted on the tally.

Dunnville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The Blues were unable to stop the Jr. Mudcats from sending pucks towards the net, and Dunnville eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Dunnville additionally got points from Luke Rowe, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Travis Sheldrake also scored for Dunnville. In addition, Dunnville received assists from Chad Springer, who had one and Ryan Hannigan, who had two.

Dundas' offense operated below its season average. The Blues average 4.4 goals per game. Dundas' offense rang up 37 shots on the Jr. Mudcats' net. The Blues were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 26 penalty minutes.

Dunnville's Rosettani stopped 37 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Jr. Mudcats incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Dan Davies made 34 saves for Dundas on 36 shots. For the Blues, Braxton Andrews was ejected from the game.
