Batrynchuk's goals lift Glanbrook to 9-5 victory over Simcoe

Garnet Batrynchuk had four goals to lead the Glanbrook Rangers to a 9-5 victory over the Simcoe Storm.

Batrynchuk's first goal came 1:41 into the second period. He then added goals at 6:06 into the second, at 8:35 into the second, and at 14:40 into the second.

Glanbrook forced Simcoe goalie Leo Breton to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. The Rangers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Glanbrook averages 4.6 goals per contest. The Rangers capitalized on the Storm's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Glanbrook additionally got points from Aaron Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist, Chris Haigh, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Curtis Edwards, who also had one goal and two assists, and Malcom Toman, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Brad Parish also scored for Glanbrook. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Cameron Frail, who had one, Noah Matteson, who had four, and Jacob Kelly, Owen Norton, and Cole Anderson, who contributed two each.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Simcoe was led by Taz Myers, who registered one goal and two assists. Myers scored 3:51 into the third period to make the score 8-3 Glanbrook. Logan Baird picked up the assist. Simcoe also had goals scored by Tyler Nagy, who had two and Brad Vervacke and Drake Bailey, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Simcoe were Dakota Culbert, Connor Mackay, Tyler Arsenault, and Riley Wilson, who each chipped in one.

Glanbrook's Jay Payton stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Breton rejected 30 shots on goal for the Storm. Simcoe incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
