Braden Roberts gave the Port Dover Sailors an 8-7 (OT) victory over the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats when he scored 5:00 into the extra period. Port Dover overcame a four-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Sailors trailed 4-0 after a goal by Dunnville's Luke Rowe at 8:37 in the second period. Port Dover tied things up at 7-7 on a goal by Mack Steele at 18:20 in the third period. The Sailors got the win behind a great game by Eric Mueller, who had two goals and three assists. Mueller scored the first of his two goals at 3:15 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Colin Streutker picked up the assist. Mueller's next tally made the score 6-6 with 3:24 left in the third period. Streutker provided the assist. Port Dover excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Sailors forced the Jr. Mudcats goalie Brennan Head to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Port Dover found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Sailors average 3.4 goals per contest. The defensemen of Port Dover were also effective in Dunnville's zone, and came away with three goals.
