Cam McConnell lifted the Dundas Blues to a 7-2 victory with a hat trick against the Port Dover Sailors. McConnell's first goal came 12:35 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:26 into the second and at 9:53 into the third.Port Dover's power play was ineffective against Dundas' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Blues forced Sailors' netminders to work all game long, finishing with 46 shots and forcing 39 saves. Justin McSpadden made 17 stops and Horia Lucaciu made 22. Dundas stifled the Sailors' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Blues outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Dundas averages 4.9 goals per contest. Dundas additionally got points from Kevin Jaczenko, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Connor King, who also registered one goal and two assists. Dundas also got a goal from Mitch Moriarity as well. More assists for Dundas came via Nick McMullen, who had three and Jake Bain, Greg Harley, and Clay Donnelly, who contributed one each. Port Dover forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time.
