A hat trick by Dylan Lazarus was the highlight in Riverhawks' 5-2 win against the Dundas Blues. Lazarus notched his first tally 19:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:22 into the second and at 3:37 into the third.Dundas' power play was ineffective against the Niagara Riverhawks' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Niagara's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Dundas power plays. The Riverhawks forced the Blues goalie Dan Davies to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Niagara also got points from Zack Mulvale, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kyle Robertson also scored for Niagara. Other players who recorded assists for Niagara were Bobby LaPlante, Alex Cipriano, and Brandon McLean, who each chipped in one. Dundas was relatively well disciplined in the game, receiving only nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time. The Blues ended up below their season average of 29.0 penalty minutes per game. Dundas did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Blues put an average of 4.7 pucks into the net per game. Dundas' offense rang up 45 shots on Niagara's net. The Blues were helped by Phoenix Schueler, who had one goal. Schueler scored 15:42 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Niagara. Connor King picked up the assist. Dundas also got a goal from Nick McMullen as well. In addition, Dundas received assists from Kevin Jaczenko, Cam McConnell, and Braxton Andrews, who contributed one each. Scott Charanduk made 43 saves for the Riverhawks on 45 shots. Niagara incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Davies recorded 29 saves for Dundas. The Blues ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Andrews was ejected from the game.
