Huge game by Laurin boosts Dundas over Simcoe, 5-2

The Dundas Blues' Luke Laurin had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over the Simcoe Storm.

Laurin's tallies came at 5:40 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dundas and 5:50 into the second to make the score 4-1 Dundas.

Dundas excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Blues kept Simcoe's goalie busy throughout the game, and #$self.jersey made 37 saves on 42 shots.

Dundas also got points from Ryan Waterhouse, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Connor King, who also registered one goal and one assist. Dundas also got a goal from Phoenix Schuler as well. More assists for Dundas came via Cam McConnell, who had one and Ray Thompson, who had two.

The Storm stifled Dundas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Blues were unable to stop Simcoe from sending pucks towards the net, and the Storm eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Simcoe was helped by Dakota Culbert, who finished with one goal and one assist. Culbert scored 17:40 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Dundas. Brad DeDecker assisted on the tally. Simcoe additionally got points from Nick Gratton, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Simcoe received assists from Bryce Cadwell, who had one.

Dundas' Brock Novak stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Blues incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Storm incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
