Dunnville survives Grimsby comeback, wins 4-3

The Grimsby Peach Kings tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats held on for a 4-3 victory.

A goal by Travis Sheldrake put Dunnville up 4-2 in the third period, but Grimsby pulled to within one on Brennan Smith's tally 16:05 into the third period.

The Jr. Mudcats were led by Sheldrake, who racked up one goal and one assist. Sheldrake scored 10:41 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Dunnville. Mack Steele provided the assist.

Dunnville additionally got points from Jeff May, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Dunnville included Matt Dolan and Luke Rowe, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Dunnville were Davis Hart, who had one and Dan Arrowsmith, who had three.

Grimsby also got points from Matthew Jambrosich, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Grimsby also got a goal from Curtis Conrad as well. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Trevor McEneny, Jeromy Hopkins, and Garnet McComber, who each chipped in one.

Brennan Head recorded 22 saves for Dunnville. The Jr. Mudcats incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Peach Kings' starting goalie, Jeremy Currie, made 13 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Fraser Kirk, who stopped six shots. Grimsby incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
