Cam McConnell lifted the Dundas Blues to an 11-4 victory with a hat trick against the Hagersville Hawks. McConnell notched his first tally 11:26 into the second period. He then added goals at 18:47 into the second and at 13:19 into the third.Hagersville was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Dundas was able to score four times while on the power play. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 14:30 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts. The Blues were often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and two majors for 54 minutes in penalty time. Dundas had been averaging 33.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Blues forced the Hawks' netminders to work between the pipes, totaling 50 shots and forcing 39 saves. Curtis Dortenzio made 27 stops and Jonah Capriotti made 12. Dundas' goal total was higher than its season average. The Blues average 5.7 goals per game. Dundas' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The total exceeded the 30.0 minutes per game the Hawks had been spending in the box. Hagersville kept the Blues' goalie busy throughout the game, and Novak made 27 saves on 31 shots. The Hawks were helped by Brett Dykstra, who registered two goals. Dykstra scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:24 into the first period to make the score 2-2. An interference penalty on Zac Mihalis had put Hagersville on the power play. Bailey Fletcher assisted on the tally. Dykstra's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 5:18 left in the second period. The Hawks had gotten the advantage when Dundas' Clay Donnelly was sent off for fighting. Mitch Green picked up the assist. Hagersville additionally got points from Nick Sherwood, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Hagersville included Kyle Phibbs and Aaron Panter, who each put in one. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Jake MacDougall, Dan Mederios, and Jacob Solomon, who each chipped in one.
