A stellar performance between the pipes by Matthew Venturelli helped the Glanbrook Rangers defeat the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats, 3-1. Glanbrook's penalty kill excelled, as the Rangers gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Glanbrook was led by Joel Tivanian, who racked up one goal. Tivanian scored 16:39 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Glanbrook. Drew Jedrzejewicz picked up the assist. The Rangers stifled Dunnville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Glanbrook's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Rangers finished with 26 penalty minutes. Glanbrook additionally got points from Jedrzejewicz, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Curtis Edwards also scored for Glanbrook. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Jeff May, Garnet Batrynchuk, and Owen Norton, who each chipped in one. The Jr. Mudcats kept Glanbrook's goalie busy throughout the game, and Venturelli made 33 saves on 34 shots. Dunnville was led by Jeff May, who scored the team's only goal. May scored 4:10 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Josh Meeuwse assisted on the tally. The Rangers registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. The Jr. Mudcats' Josh Rosettani stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Dunnville incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
