Scott Stirling AP registered two points to lead the Port Dover Sailors to a 6-3 victory over the Grimsby Peach Kings. In a losing effort, Grimsby was paced by Andrew McMurtrie, who grabbed two goals. McMurtrie scored the first of his two goals at 5:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Grimsby. Brennan Smith assisted on the tally. McMurtrie's next tally made the score 5-3 Port Dover with 15:23 left in the third period. The Peach Kings had gotten the advantage when Port Dover's Michael Boateng was sent off for hooking. Nicholas Purves picked up the assist. The Sailors surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Port Dover averages 3.2 goals per contest. Port Dover also got points from Bryson Barr, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Port Dover included Bradon Roberts, who had two and Tyson Myke and Jordan Lenko, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Port Dover were Josh Meidema and Josh Turberfield, who each chipped in one and Michael Almas and Colin Streutker, who contributed two each. The Sailors were unable to stop Grimsby from sending pucks towards the net, and the Peach Kings eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. Grimsby's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. The Peach Kings give up 1.9 goal per game. Grimsby additionally got points from Purves, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Aidan McCreadie, Andrew Brown, and Eric Cerino, who each chipped in one. Justin McSpadden rejected 43 shots on goal for Port Dover.
