In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Grimsby Peach Kings escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Niagara Riverhawks. Grimsby gained the winning advantage on a goal by Andrew McMurtrie 11:46 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Peach Kings got the win on the strength of a great game by Curtis Conrad, who had two goals and one assist. Conrad scored the first of his two goals at 14:47 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dillon Cipretti assisted on the tally. Conrad's next tally made the score 2-2 with 13:39 left in the third period. Grimsby had gained a power play chance when Luca Petriello was whistled for holding. Griffin Roubos provided the assist. Niagara was unable to stop the Peach Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Grimsby eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Grimsby additionally got points from Cipretti, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Trevor McEneny, Derek Rotter, and Malcolm Lynett, who contributed one each. The Riverhawks' offense rang up 32 shots on the Peach Kings' net.
