In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Glanbrook Rangers escaped with a 5-3 victory over the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Brad Parish at 12:24 of the second period. Parish had a great game for Glanbrook, netting two goals. The Rangers' penalty kill excelled, as Glanbrook gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays. The Rangers forced Dunnville goalie Josh Rosettani to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Others who scored for Glanbrook included Kyle Dumais, Noah Matteson, and Cole Anderson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Curtis Edwards, who had three and Drew Jedrzejewicz, Chris Haigh, Owen Norton, Chad Carey, Malcom Toman, and Cameron Frail, who contributed one each. The Jr. Mudcats kept Glanbrook's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Venturelli made 40 saves on 43 shots. Dunnville gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Jr. Mudcats average 2.5 goals allowed per game. Dunnville could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. The Jr. Mudcats were helped by Jeff May, who registered one goal. May scored 6:34 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Glanbrook. Steven Czepek assisted on the tally. Dunnville also had goals scored by Evan Huckalo and Brandon Dear, who each put in one. More assists for Dunnville came via Ryan Hannigan, Davis Hart, Mack Steele, Luke Rowe, and Luke Cordi, who each chipped in one. The Rangers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Glanbrook ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Frail was ejected from the game. Dunnville's Rosettani stopped 31 shots out of the 36 that he faced.
