Huge game by Kelly boosts Glanbrook over Port Dover, 5-2

Jacob Kelly was all over the ice for the Glanbrook Rangers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Glanbrook's 5-2 win over the Port Dover Sailors.

Kelly found the back of the net on the power play 10:23 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Glanbrook and again while 5:57 into the third to make the score 4-2 Glanbrook.

Port Dover's power play was ineffective against the Rangers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Glanbrook's offense rang up 32 shots on the Sailors' net. The Rangers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Glanbrook also got points from Noah Matteson, who also had one goal and one assist. Glanbrook also had goals scored by Kyle Dumais and Chris Haigh, who each put in one. More assists for Glanbrook came via Joel Tivanian and Cameron Frail, who contributed one each.

Port Dover was helped by Justin Bell, who registered one goal. Bell scored on the power play 6:15 into the second period to make the score 2-2. A high sticking penalty on Tyler Strabac had put the Sailors on the power play. Michael Almas picked up the assist. Port Dover also got a goal from Camden Freeman as well. In addition, Port Dover received assists from Colin Streutker, who had one.

Glanbrook's Matthew Venturelli stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Rangers registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Horia Lucaciu made 27 saves for Port Dover on 32 shots. The Sailors incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Port Dover, Nick Chiarot was ejected from the game.
