Lansing Capitals 18U stifles Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U's comeback, gains 3-2 victory

Lansing Capitals 18U, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U and clinched a 3-2 victory.

Lansing Capitals 18U led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Lansing Capitals 18U's Kieran Durgan scored at 5:01 in the second period to put Lansing Capitals 18U up 3-0.

Durgan had two goals to lead Lansing Capitals 18U to victory.

Lansing Capitals 18U's offense rang up 40 shots on Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U's net.

Lansing Capitals 18U also got a goal from Josh Kirsch as well. More assists for Lansing Capitals 18U came via Alex Counseller, who had two and Zach Roberts and Wyatt Beard, who contributed one each.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lansing Capitals 18U to score on any of its five power plays. Andrew Kormos recorded 12 saves for Lansing Capitals 18U. Lansing Capitals 18U ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. Lansing Capitals 18U ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Wortz was ejected from the game. Sean Lincoln made 37 saves for Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U on 40 shots.
