Madison Capitols 18U beats San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U 3-2 after comeback scare

Madison Capitols 18U survived a determined comeback attempt by San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Trent Einbeck put Madison Capitols 18U up 3-1 in the third period, but San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U pulled to within one on Ryan Meure's tally 10:14 into the third period.

Madison Capitols 18U was sparked by Einbeck, who tallied one goal. Einbeck scored short handed 8:03 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Madison Capitols 18U. A hooking call on Cole Hults put Madison Capitols 18U on the penalty kill. Jordan Fader picked up the assist.

Madison Capitols 18U additionally got points from Phil Erickson, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Madison Capitols 18U also got a goal from Brendon Gysbers as well.
