Huge game by Alavi boosts Esmark Stars 18U over Pikes Peak Miners 18U, 4-1

Esmark Stars 18U's Adam Alavi had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 4-1 win over Pikes Peak Miners 18U.

Alavi beat Erik Anderson with a shot 16:28 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Esmark Stars 18U. Carter Ekberg assisted on the tally. Alavi dished an assist on Brian Dee's goal that made the score 1-0 Esmark Stars 18U at seven seconds into the first period. He then added assists on Ekberg's goal at 4:07 into the first and on David Polinski's goal at 13:54 into the third.

Esmark Stars 18U managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Esmark Stars 18U wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Esmark Stars 18U forced Pikes Peak Miners 18U goalie Anderson to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.
