New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U squeaks by Minnesota Revolution 18U, 5-3

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U and Minnesota Revolution 18U were evenly matched throughout their contest, but New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Greg Malafronte secured the win for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U with a goal in the third period.

Robert Jaworski had a great game for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U, netting two goals. Jaworski scored at 8:13 into the third period to make the score 4-2 New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U and again while 11:21 into the third to make the score 5-3 New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U kept Minnesota Revolution 18U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dakota Cyhaniuk made 39 saves on 44 shots.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U additionally got points from Malafronte, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Anthony Cusanelli also scored for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U. In addition, New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U received assists from Max Weber, Matt Chinnici, Chris Wuestneck, and Charlie Singerhouse, who contributed one each.

Minnesota Revolution 18U stifled New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Minnesota Revolution 18U was led by Mark Sanchez, who had two goals. Sanchez scored the first of his two goals at 5:51 into the second period to make the score 2-2.
