Kimmick lifts Esmark Stars 18U over Little Caesars 18U, 5-3

Thomas Kimmick was all over the ice for Esmark Stars 18U, as he tallied four goals in Esmark Stars 18U's 5-3 win over Little Caesars 18U.

Kimmick's first goal came 3:55 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:37 into the first, at 15:54 into the third, and at 16:44 into the third.

Little Caesars 18U's power play was ineffective against Esmark Stars 18U's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Esmark Stars 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Little Caesars 18U was unable to stop Esmark Stars 18U from sending pucks towards the net, and Esmark Stars 18U eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Esmark Stars 18U also got a goal from David Polinski as well. In addition, Esmark Stars 18U received assists from Braeden Harbison, Brendon Zack, Vincent Casale, and David Jerome, who each chipped in one and Carter Ekberg and James Unger, who contributed two each.

Little Caesars 18U's offense rang up 32 shots on Esmark Stars 18U's net. Little Caesars 18U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Little Caesars 18U was helped by Jared Domin, who registered two goals. Domin scored the first of his two goals at 50 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Little Caesars 18U. Joshua Owings picked up the assist. Domin's next tally made the score 2-1 Little Caesars 18U with 15:30 left in the first period. Justin Misiak provided the assist. Little Caesars 18U also got points from Braden Brown, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Little Caesars 18U were Mike Winn and Matthew Hudie, who each chipped in one.

Joseph Recktenwald made 29 saves for Esmark Stars 18U on 32 shots. Esmark Stars 18U incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Camden Burggrade recorded 26 saves for Little Caesars 18U.
