Baron Thompson had two goals and one assist to lead Omaha AAA 16U to a 5-0 victory over HC Dallas 16U.

Thompson scored at 4:36 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Omaha AAA 16U and again while 4:59 into the second to make the score 3-0 Omaha AAA 16U.

Omaha AAA 16U forced HC Dallas 16U goalie George McBey to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots.

Omaha AAA 16U also got points from Garrett Anderson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Omaha AAA 16U also got a goal from Casey Gilling as well. In addition, Omaha AAA 16U received assists from Dane Johnson, Drew Pflug, Bryan Yoon, and Nicholas Caprio, who each chipped in one.

HC Dallas 16U managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. HC Dallas 16U ended up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. Omaha AAA 16U's defense shut down HC Dallas 16U's forwards for much of the game, and HC Dallas 16U got off only six shots during the contest.

Mitchell James recorded six saves for Omaha AAA 16U. Omaha AAA 16U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. HC Dallas 16U's McBey stopped 45 shots out of the 50 that he faced. HC Dallas 16U registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
