A four-goal first period deficit cost Pikes Peak Miners 16U, which could not recover and fell to Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U, 6-0.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U was led by Jack Gates, who had one goal. Gates scored 1:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U. Chad Sasaki picked up the assist.
