Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Chicago Mission 16U battled back to claim a 5-4 victory over Honeybaked 16U. Chicago Mission 16U let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. Chicago Mission 16U took a 3-2 advantage on a goal by Sean Dhooghe at 2:54 in the third period. Chicago Mission 16U found itself down 2-0 after Honeybaked 16U's Luke Cowan put the puck home on the power play at 1:22 in the second period. After tying things up at 4-4 on a goal by Collin Adams at 15:10 in the third, Chicago Mission 16U got the game-winner from Joey Abate at 16:10 in the third period. Dhooghe had a great game for Chicago Mission 16U, netting two goals. Chicago Mission 16U also got points from Abate, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Cole Coskey, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Chicago Mission 16U also got a goal from Graham Slaggert as well. In addition, Chicago Mission 16U received assists from Daniel Chang, who had one. Honeybaked 16U additionally got points from Cowan, who also finished with one goal and two assists. More assists for Honeybaked 16U came via Alexander Chmelevski and Mitchell Chaffee, who each chipped in one. Chicago Mission 16U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
