Compuware 16U survives penalties, beats St. Louis Selects 16U, 2-1

Compuware 16U, which found itself down a man often, weathered St. Louis Selects 16U's power play opportunities and emerged with a 2-1 victory.

Compuware 16U was led by Blake Tosto, who had one goal. Tosto scored 11:46 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Compuware 16U.

Compuware 16U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Compuware 16U's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Compuware 16U finished with 34 penalty minutes.

Marshall Vyletel also scored for Compuware 16U. In addition, Compuware 16U received assists from Patrick Smyth and Alex Armstrong, who each chipped in one.

St. Louis Selects 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Compuware 16U power plays.

St. Louis Selects 16U was led by Andy Willis, who scored the team's only goal. Willis scored 9:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis Selects 16U. Justin Meers picked up the assist.

Compuware 16U ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Chris Trouba was ejected from the game. St. Louis Selects 16U incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
