Huge game by Zawatsky boosts Pursuit of Excellence 16U over HC Dallas 16U, 6-1

Alec Zawatsky was all over the ice for Pursuit of Excellence 16U, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Pursuit of Excellence 16U's 6-1 win over HC Dallas 16U.

Zawatsky found the back of the net 1:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pursuit of Excellence 16U and again while 4:34 into the second to make the score 4-1 Pursuit of Excellence 16U.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U stifled HC Dallas 16U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U also got points from Ethan Trampuh, who also had one goal and one assist, Cassidy Bowes, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Cayden Kraus, who also registered one goal and two assists. Pursuit of Excellence 16U also got a goal from Aiden Buhler as well. More assists for Pursuit of Excellence 16U came via Matthew Kowalski, who had two and Kaleb Comishin, Riley Smoler, and Oleg Senko, who each chipped in one.

HC Dallas 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pursuit of Excellence 16U to score on any of its three power plays.

HC Dallas 16U was led by Scott Edwards, who scored the team's only goal. Edwards scored 6:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 HC Dallas 16U. Patrick Reynolds picked up the assist.

Keaton Dyck recorded 20 saves for Pursuit of Excellence 16U. Pursuit of Excellence 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. George McBey made 20 saves for HC Dallas 16U on 26 shots. HC Dallas 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
