Frank's hat trick boosts Omaha AAA 16U over Pursuit of Excellence 16U, 6-3

Pursuit of Excellence 16U could not stop Omaha AAA 16U's Ethen Frank, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-3 win.

Frank got on the scoresheet 1:27 into the second period. He then added goals at 28 seconds into the third and at 16:21 into the third.

Omaha AAA 16U's penalty kill excelled, as Omaha AAA 16U gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Omaha AAA 16U forced Pursuit of Excellence 16U goalie Logan Larock to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Omaha AAA 16U additionally got points from Austin Long, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Dane Johnson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Baron Thompson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Omaha AAA 16U were Bryan Yoon, who had two and Nico Blachman, Casey Gilling, Drew Pflug, Dalton Gally, and Garrett Anderson, who each chipped in one.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Omaha AAA 16U to score on any of its four power plays.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U was helped by Cayden Kraus, who registered one goal. Kraus scored on the power play 8:19 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Pursuit of Excellence 16U. Pursuit of Excellence 16U earned a power play opportunity when Jaden Anderson was put in the box for interference. Others who scored for Pursuit of Excellence 16U included Kaleb Comishin and Alec Zawatsky, who each put in one. More assists for Pursuit of Excellence 16U came via Logan Archer and Shae Bruyere, who contributed one each.

Mitchell James made eight saves before being replaced by Cole Weaver, who took the win and made eight saves. Omaha AAA 16U incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Larock rejected 28 shots on goal for Pursuit of Excellence 16U. Pursuit of Excellence 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
