Billings wins tough contest against Glacier, 4-3

The game between the Billings Bulls and Glacier was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Billings emerged with a 4-3 win.

The Bulls gained the winning advantage on a goal by Josh Pena 19:40 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

In the losing effort, Glacier was led by Tyler McMahon, who had two goals and one assist. McMahon scored the first of his two goals at 18:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Glacier. Marvin Simmons assisted on the tally. McMahon's next tally made the score 3-2 Glacier with 1:31 left in the second period. Brandon Huntington picked up the assist.

In a losing effort, Glacier was led by McMahon, who racked up two goals and one assist.

Billings forced Glacier goalie Bailey Aust to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots.

Billings also had goals scored by Josh Neumann, Steven Thompson, and Tristan Henrichs, who scored one goal each. More assists for Billings came via Ian Eshbaugh and Bryce Jensen, who contributed one each and Reed Kaiser and Cameron Birklid, who each chipped in two.

Glacier's offense rang up 33 shots on the Bulls' net.

Matt Gamblin also scored for Glacier. In addition, Glacier received assists from Jarod Ackerman and Tommy Kaddatz, who contributed one each.

Billings' Ray Smith stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Bulls totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Aust rejected 54 shots on goal for Glacier. Glacier incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
