Richard Yusa tallied two points to lead the Topeka Capitals to a 6-1 victory over the Sugar Land Imperials.

Topeka's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Sugar Land power plays. The Capitals kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Timothy OSullivan made 40 saves on 46 shots.

Topeka additionally got points from Hank Roers, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Colin OConnor, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Topeka also got a goal from Trey Opack as well. More assists for Topeka came via Alex Sauer, who had three and Aaron Deady, Tre Kautzman, John Cuni, and Mike Pedersen, who contributed one each.

The Imperials could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game.

Sugar Land was led by Alex Tilman, who scored the team's only goal. Tilman scored 3:31 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Topeka. Josh Rocco picked up the assist.

Ryan Lund recorded 14 saves for Topeka. The Capitals incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
