A stellar performance between the pipes by Jacob Stack helped the Pittsburgh Vengeance defeat the Toledo Cherokee, 4-1.

Pittsburgh was led by Adem Arifi, who racked up one goal. Arifi scored on the power play 15:16 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Pittsburgh. A boarding penalty on Ted Austin had put the Vengeance on the power play. Nils Markgren assisted on the tally.

Pittsburgh managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Vengeance wound up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game.

Pittsburgh additionally got points from Markgren, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Pittsburgh included Bryan Hovanec and Brennan Osen, who scored one goal each. Toledo was led by Tristin Snyder, who scored the team's only goal. Snyder scored 9:40 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pittsburgh. Dominic Pisanti provided the assist.
