Davis Hudson gave the Point Mallard Ducks a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Dallas Jr. Stars when he scored 4:05 into the extra period. Matt Darnell had one goal and two assists to lead Point Mallard. Darnell scored 10:51 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Justin Provencher provided the assist. The Ducks stifled Dallas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Point Mallard kept the Jr. Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Chris Mallon made 41 saves on 45 shots. The defensemen of the Ducks were also effective in Dallas' zone, and came away with two goals. Point Mallard also got points from Provencher, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Hudson, who also had one goal and one assist, and Justin Clark, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Point Mallard received assists from Chris Corgan, who had two. The Jr. Stars excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Dallas was helped by Aaron Torres, who tallied three goals. More assists for Dallas came via Kayne Fedor, who had three and Brooks Blackburn, Tyler Valentin, and Wyatt Gentry, who contributed one each. Roman Bengert recorded 25 saves for Point Mallard. The Ducks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Jr. Stars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
