Pittsburgh downs Cleveland, 4-0

Tyler Speis had one point to lead the Pittsburgh Vengeance to a 4-0 victory over the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks.

Pittsburgh's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Cleveland power plays. The Vengeance's defense was surprisingly good. Pittsburgh averages 2.5 goals allowed per game. The Vengeance kept Cleveland's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Pikus made 30 saves on 34 shots.

Pittsburgh also got points from Bryan Hovanec, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Pittsburgh included Parker Henry and Eli Lynn, who scored one goal each. More assists for Pittsburgh came via Cody Black, Nils Markgren, and Michael Straub, who contributed one each.

The Jr. Lumberjacks' offense operated below their season average. Cleveland puts an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game. The Jr. Lumberjacks found themselves short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing four power plays.

Brian Baker made 22 saves for Pittsburgh on 22 shots. The Vengeance incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
