Bozeman downs Yellowstone in overtime, 2-1 (OT)Haynes Pavillion Fri, Feb 06, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Devin Panzeca gave the Bozeman Icedogs a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Yellowstone Quake when he scored 1:24 into the extra period. Panzeca had a great game for Bozeman, netting two goals. Yellowstone was stymied by the Icedogs' netminder Denijs Romanovskis, who stopped 39 shots during the victory. Romanovskis certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.22 entering the contest. Bozeman's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Yellowstone power plays. The Quake were unable to stop the Icedogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Bozeman eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. The Icedogs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. In addition, Bozeman received assists from Brock Loser, Steven Nisbet, Ryan Erickson, and Jonnathan Carpenter, who each chipped in one. Yellowstone stifled Bozeman's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Quake forced the Icedogs goalie Romanovskis to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Yellowstone was led by Sean Pilet, who scored the team's only goal. Pilet scored 2:51 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Yellowstone. Mike McCullen picked up the assist. Bozeman registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. The Quake's Lance Knudson stopped 34 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Yellowstone incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
