The Toledo Cherokee came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, but did just enough to escape with a 5-3 victory. Toledo led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Cherokee's Aaron Roschinsky scored at 8:57 in the third period to put Toledo up 4-1.
