Glacier's Kaddatz deadly on offense in 8-5 win against Yellowstone

Behind a great game by Tommy Kaddatz, who had four goals, Glacier defeated the Yellowstone Quake, 8-5.

Kaddatz notched his first tally 15:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:07 into the first, at 15:33 into the second, and at 18:36 into the second.

Yellowstone's five penalties came back to haunt it, as the Quake let up five goals while on the penalty kill.

Glacier forced Yellowstone goalie Lance Knudson to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Glacier surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Glacier averages 2.0 goals per game. Glacier's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in five goals.

Glacier additionally got points from Wyatt Fretheim, who also had one goal and one assist and Joshua Larson, who also grabbed one goal and three assists. Others who scored for Glacier included Tyler McMahon and Brandon Huntington, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Glacier were Donnovan Dysert, Mitch Tulk, Norman Brightnose, and Karson Frisk, who each chipped in one and Matt Gamblin and Blake Evennou, who contributed three each.

The Quake's offense rang up 44 shots on Glacier's net. Yellowstone bested its season scoring average. This season, the Quake average 2.3 goals per contest. Yellowstone cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on four chances.

The Quake were led by Ross Mullen, who finished with one goal and two assists. Mullen scored on the power play 12:32 into the third period to make the score 7-5 Glacier. Yellowstone had taken the advantage when Glacier's Brightnose got sent off for kneeing. Mike McCullen assisted on the tally. Yellowstone also had goals scored by Adrian Maass, Carter Johnson, Sean Pilet, and Will Landsverk, who each put in one. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Max Doner, who had two and Josh Neumann, Zach Forrest, and Nick Ligocki, who each chipped in one.

Ryan Lund rejected 39 shots on goal for Glacier. Glacier ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For Glacier, Brightnose was ejected from the game. Lance Knudson made 32 saves for the Quake on 39 shots. Yellowstone ended with 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major.
