Billings uses big second period to beat Glacier, 8-2

Glacier was within striking distance after one period, but the Billings Bulls put the pedal down in the second en route to an 8-2 victory.

Billings got the win behind a great game by Reed Kaiser, who had one goal and two assists. Kaiser scored 10:59 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Billings.

The Bulls forced Glacier's netminders to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots and forcing 40 saves. Ryan Lund made 31 stops and Nolan Slager made nine. Billings bested its season scoring average. The Bulls have scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Billings' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Billings also got points from Ralfs Karelis, who also registered one goal and two assists and Cameron Birklid, who also had one goal and one assist. Billings also had goals scored by Austin Lange, Steven Thompson, Nick Rizzo, Torin Foundos, and Tristan Henrichs, who scored one goal each. More assists for Billings came via Wolfgang Davis, Bryce Jensen, Joe Mata, Corbin Emery, and Ian Wiljanen, who contributed one each.

Cole Semchak rejected 24 shots on goal for the Bulls. Billings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Glacier incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
