Behind a great game by Peter Henderson, who had two goals, the Wisconsin Whalers defeated the Peoria Mustangs, 2-0. Henderson scored on the power play at 10:54 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Wisconsin and again while 19:53 into the third to make the score 2-0 Wisconsin.Wisconsin was boosted by Evan Moyse, who turned in a shutout with 30 saves. Peoria's starting goalie, Marc Hayton, made 22 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Nicholas Piech, who stopped five shots.
