Yellowstone squeaks by Glacier, 5-3Havre Ice Dome Fri, Jan 09, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Yellowstone Quake escaped with a 5-3 victory over Glacier. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Max Doner's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Yellowstone was sparked by Sean Pilet, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Pilet scored 12:48 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Yellowstone. Sawyer Scanlan picked up the assist. The Quake were paced by Pilet, who tallied one goal and one assist. Yellowstone's offense rang up 41 shots on Glacier's net. The Quake found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Yellowstone has scored at the pace of 2.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Yellowstone also got points from Scanlan, who also registered one goal and one assist, Doner, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Will Landsverk, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brandon Blaszczyk also scored for Yellowstone. Glacier kept the Quake's goalie busy throughout the game, and Lance Knudson made 36 saves on 39 shots. Glacier was helped by Dustin Foran, who racked up two goals. Foran scored the first of his two goals at 10:30 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brett LeBeau assisted on the tally. Foran's next tally made the score 4-3 Yellowstone with 3:34 left in the third period. Joshua Larson picked up the assist.
