The Metro Jets had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Cincinnati Swords. Metro got the win on the strength of a great game by Zach Koonce, who had one goal and two assists. Koonce scored on the power play 18:08 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Metro. The Jets earned a power play opportunity when Blake Hinds was put in the box for interference. Matt Dempsey assisted on the tally. Stephan Wroe rejected 12 shots on goal for Metro. The Jets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Swords' Brandon Kruger stopped 35 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Cincinnati incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
