Goor stymies North Iowa, Twin City wins 3-1

Robbie Goor had a standout game with 46 saves, and the Twin City Steel beat the North Iowa Bulls 3-1.

Twin City was led by Alex Egle, who had one goal. Egle scored 9:41 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Twin City. Tom Reilly picked up the assist.

The Steel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five North Iowa power plays. Twin City forced North Iowa goalie Jordan Moran to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Twin City also had goals scored by David Becker and Jay Paul, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Twin City were Kyle Wagner, James Hale, Chris Skordilis, and Jake McGlocklin, who each chipped in one.

The Bulls stifled the Steel's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North Iowa's offense operated below its season average. The Bulls average 5.1 goals per game. North Iowa's offense rang up 47 shots on Twin City's net.

The Bulls were led by Sam Naegele, who scored the team's only goal. Naegele scored 8:44 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Dylan Zins assisted on the tally.

The Steel totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-4 on the power play. Jordan Moran made 32 saves for North Iowa on 34 shots. The Bulls incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
