Pittsburgh falls to Metro in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Metro Jets' Andrew Sawyer scored 3:11 into overtime to beat the Pittsburgh Vengeance, 2-1 (OT).

Metro was led by goalie Kameron Limburg, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Limburg certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.11 entering the contest.

The Jets were led by Sawyer, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

Metro put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pittsburgh to score on any of its four power plays.

Metro also got a goal from Jason Newel as well. In addition, Metro received assists from Tyler Layle and TJ Krajewski, who contributed one each.

The Vengeance did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Pittsburgh puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

The Vengeance were led by Cody Black, who scored the team's only goal. Black scored 7:57 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pittsburgh. Nils Markgren picked up the assist.

The Jets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brian Baker recorded 27 saves for Pittsburgh. The Vengeance incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
