The La Crosse Freeze allowed the Chicago Junior Bulldogs to net four goals during the second period and fell, 7-3. Tyler Seltenriech and Kyle Barna provided the spark for Chicago, combining for four goals and three assists. Seltenriech tallied two goals and two assists and Barna also notched two goals and one assist. The Junior Bulldogs pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 59 penalty minutes. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at three seconds into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Chicago forced La Crosse's goalies to work all game long, totaling 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Andrew Wagner made 18 stops and Cameron Scheuren made six. The Junior Bulldogs bested their season scoring average. Chicago averages 3.4 goals per game. Chicago additionally got points from Barna, who also registered two goals and one assist, Scott Coash Jr, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Ryan Maksimovic, who also had one goal and two assists. Matthew Adams also scored for Chicago. Other players who recorded assists for Chicago were Henry Hearon, who had two and Noah Carter, Toms Taurins, and Michael Howard, who each chipped in one. Team's Dan Marotz and Tyler Gorniak were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
